Position Summary

Transportation Engineer – Minimum 3 years of experience. Job location: Towson, MD; Rockville, MD; Mechanicsburg, PA; or Herndon, VA. Hybrid work schedule available (up to 2 days from home each week). Competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a variety of projects, including data collection, existing condition and alternative analysis for engineering reports.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Perform cross‑section and superelevation design, roadside barrier design, ADA curb ramp design, roadway modeling.
• Provide design support for erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, right‑of‑way plans, utility relocation plans, permit application drawings, and traffic‑related plans.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation.
• Engineering‑in‑Training (EIT/FE) preferred.
• Experience with Microstation Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
