Job summary

LVI Associates in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Transportation Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing transportation team. You will work on roadway and transportation design projects for FDOT, counties, municipalities, and local agencies across South Florida.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, is familiar with Civil 3D or MicroStation, and understands FDOT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of transportation or roadway engineering experience.
• EIT is preferred; candidates pursuing PE licensure encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design software.
• Familiarity with FDOT standards and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare roadway and transportation design plans.
• Assist with geometric roadway design and plan production.
• Develop engineering calculations, reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and agency partners.
• Assist with permitting and project submittals.
• Participate in field reviews and site visits as needed.
• Support project delivery from design through construction.
