State of Ohio is seeking a Transportation Engineer 1 for Planning/Traffic Safety. The role involves reviewing and designing simple highway plans, conducting traffic engineering studies, and performing field inspections to collect data.

• Performs traffic engineering studies (e.g., safety, speed, capacity, parking, corridor, developer, fatal, signal, permit, etc.).
• Performs field inspections to analyze physical conditions and collect data.
• Prepares work orders.
• Prepares reports, plans and exhibits for public meetings & attends public meetings.
• Respond to written inquiries from the public and governmental officials.
• Monitors and updates progress for status reports (e.g., safety annual work plan).
