Location : Remote - Must live in the South East, US

Employment Type : Full-Time

Experience Level : Mid-Level (4+ years)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Roadway Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roadway design and a proven track record of working on projects for state departments of transportation, including SCDOT, GDOT, and / or NCDOT. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to significant transportation projects that make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and design roadway plans from preliminary concepts to final construction documents.
• Utilize MicroStation and GEOPAK / OpenRoads for plan production and design tasks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct technical analyses and prepare engineering reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable design standards and regulations.
• Participate in client meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in roadway design, with a focus on projects for SCDOT, GDOT, and / or NCDOT.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK / OpenRoads design software.
• Strong understanding of AASHTO and state-specific design standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
