Job summary

Fisher Arnold in Memphis, TN is seeking a team-oriented Transportation Engineer to contribute to design and plans production for transportation projects.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree, 5–15+ years of experience, and be prepared to perform calculations, prepare drawings in CADD, and coordinate with DOTs and agencies. PE encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.
• 5–15+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE) or ability to achieve certification.
• Knowledge of CADD programs (MicroStation and ORD preferred).
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design services for project plans development for transportation related projects.
• Independently perform engineering assignments, calculations, and tasks.
• Assist engineers in making updates to drawings and plans in CADD software (MicroStation/ORD).
• Work with a team to provide quality design services for transportation projects.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to obtain approvals from DOTs, municipalities, and agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
