Job summary

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. in Brentwood, TN is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Division. You will lead highway/roadway design teams, perform analyses, manage scopes and budgets, and coordinate with clients and sub-consultants on TDOT projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Tennessee (TN).
• TDOT experience.
• Minimum five years highway/roadway design experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and high-quality design.
• Able to lead and collaborate within a design team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in design platforms (OpenRoads 3D, MicroStation, Bentley, Geopak) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects.
• Perform analysis and design calculations for highway/roadway projects.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients and coordinate with sub-consultants.
• Manage day-to-day communication with the client, support engineers, and write reports.

Overview

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Division in Brentwood, TN.

In this role you will leverage your experience developing, designing and managing Transportation projects and teams. You will be the Lead Engineer fortransportation infrastructure projects with TDOT and other state and local municipalities. This will include, but not be limited to:

• Leading the highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and working independently on smaller projects
• Performing analysis and design calculationsfor highway/roadway projects
• Preparing scopes, budgets, schedules
• Technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas.
• Managing day-to-day communication with the client, supporting and advising engineers and technical staff, writing reports and technical memos, coordinating with sub-consultants
• Organizing scheduling of specific tasks and assignments, keeping the project on schedule and within budget
• Assisting with proposal preparation and business development/project pursuits.
• Other duties as needed.
