Job summary

URC Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a roadway design engineer to contribute to street and highway projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• New Mexico PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• 1–4 years of experience in street/highway design per regulations.
• Ability to work with other engineers and technicians.
• Background in traffic engineering design can be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway design and modeling.
• Lead and manage tasks on projects of various sizes.
• Collaborate with experienced designers, project managers, and subconsultants to deliver projects.
• Primarily work on projects in New Mexico with opportunities to support regional projects.

• Efficiently communicate and partner with peers, senior staff, and clients

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• NewMexico Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain within six months
• 1‑4 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways in accordance with local, state, and/or federal regulations
• Ability to effectively work with other engineers and technicians
• Background in traffic engineering design and H&H design can be helpful

Annual salary range: $80,000 – $120,000
