Essential Functions of Transportation Driver (CNA):
- Transport residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events
- Coordinate transportation services with appropriate staff
- Assist residents in and out of vehicles using proper safety procedures
- Operate mechanical lifts for wheelchair-bound patients
- Follow written and verbal instructions before leaving the center with residents
- Obtain necessary paperwork prior to leaving with residents
- Assess and correct resident appearance before departure
- Follow Resident’s Rights and safety protocols
- Dress professionally and represent the center appropriately
- Monitor and report vehicle maintenance needs, including mechanical issues
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies (gas, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes)
- Maintain records such as vehicle logs and destinations
- Report issues to the Transportation Coordinator and Administrator
- Comply with all applicable health care and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications of Transportation Driver (CNA):
- Minimum of 1 year of preferred commercial driving experience
- Valid CNA certification in Oklahoma
- CPR certification required
- Ability to operate a vehicle
- Valid insurance and driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Maintain a working email and phone number for communication
