Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Transportation Driver for Rainbow Terrace Adult Day Health Center in Columbia, MD. This full-time role runs 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, five days a week with every other Saturday.

You will transport participants safely between homes, the center, and appointments, assist with boarding and mobility equipment, and help with daily center activities. Requirements include English proficiency, 21+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid MD driver’s license for at least two

Qualifications

• Applicants must be English-speaking and have held a Maryland driver’s license for at least two years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Full, valid Maryland driver’s license held for at least 2 years.
• Valid vehicle registration and insurance.
• 2 years of passenger transportation or 14-passenger van/bus driving experience.
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
• Dependable, compassionate, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport participants between their homes, the center, appointments, and community activities.
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing mobility equipment.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance needs.
• Support center staff with participant supervision, recreational activities, meals, and general assistance

Job description

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Transportation Driver – Adult Day Care

REQUIRED TO APPLY:

Applicants must be English-speaking and have held a full, valid Maryland driver’s license for at least two (2) years.

Schedule:

Full-Time | 5 Days/Week | Approximately 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Every Other Saturday Required

No evenings. No on-call shifts!
