Sevita's Rainbow Terrace Adult Day Health Center in Columbia, MD, is hiring a Program Assistant to provide daily care and support to older adults and individuals with rehabilitation needs in a community-based setting.

This part-time role (25 hours/week, no evenings or on-call) offers competitive pay at $16 an hour, opportunities to lead activities, promote independence, and join a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year supporting seniors or adults with medical/rehabilitative needs.
• Knowledge of vital signs, weights, and ADLs.
• Able to pass background checks, physical exam, and TB screening.
• Compassionate, dependable, and a strong communicator.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and support to older adults and individuals with rehabilitation needs, dementia, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with ADLs, brief changes, transfers, and personal care.
• Support activities, social skills, and independence.
• Lead musical and recreational activities.
• Ensure participant safety and well-being.

Job description

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Program Assistant – Adult Day

Location: Rainbow Terrace Adult Day Health Center
Address: 9135 Guilford Rd, Ste 100, Columbia, MD 21046
Wage: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time | 25 Hours Per Week

• Week 1: Mon-Fri | 9:00 AM-2:00 PM
• Week 2: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat | 9:00 AM-2:00 PM

No evenings. No on-call shifts!
