Primary Responsibilities of the Transportation Driver

• Operates campus transportation vehicles and related equipment safely and efficiently, following established operating procedures
• Conducts pre-trip inspections and monitors vehicle performance,
• Promptly reports maintenance and safety concerns, delays, incidents, and vehicle issues
• Provides courteous, professional, and responsive customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other passengers
• Assists with transportation needs and provides route information
• Answers questions and addresses concerns in a respectful manner
• Communicates clearly and professionally with passengers, dispatchers, supervisors, and campus personnel to provide accurate information
• Coordinates transportation services
• Carefully follows assigned routes and schedules and monitors passenger safety
• Accurately completes required transportation records and reports
