Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville, TN seeks a dedicated TRANSPORTATION Driver to safely transport residents, staff, and volunteers to scheduled destinations. You will review daily schedules, assist with transfers, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, professional interaction, and adherence to facility protocols in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Valid, unencumbered state driver’s license required.
• At least 1-2 years of transportation experience preferred.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred.
• Must have experience transporting and transferring residents or patients using facility equipment.
• CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review daily rehabilitation schedules and ensure availability for transportation.
• Provide minimal assist with resident transfers to and from wheelchairs.
• Assist nursing and rehabilitation personnel with transfers to and from vehicles.
• Transport residents to and from rehabilitation areas for scheduled appointments.
• Operate elevators as needed.
• Inform nursing and rehabilitation staff of any incidents or problems.
• Maintain positive, professional interactions with residents and staff.

As a vital part of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents, staff, and volunteers to and from various destinations.
