Job summary

Avenues at Royal Oaks in KEWANEE, IL seeks a Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers, and private residences, upholding professional service and safety standards.

The role requires a valid Illinois driver’s license, DOT vehicle licensure/physical, and the ability to work with diverse residents. Openings available: full-time, part-time, and PRN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License, meeting DOT required vehicle licensure and physical.
• Must be between the age of twenty-five (25) and seventy-four (74) per facility insurance requirements.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.
• Is responsible for the safety of residents at all times. Monitors resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle as well as the entrance and exit of buildings.
• Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.

The Transportation Driver will provide the transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Essential Duties:

• Provide a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.
