Qualifications

• Must have a CNA license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Illinois Driver's License required.
• Class C license with passenger endorsement or Class E license for vehicles transporting 14 or fewer passengers.
• DOT compliant physical and annual physician's statement for drivers between 71 and 74.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 275 pounds, and move intermittently throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Hours 9am-5:30pm.
• Provide a high level of customer service while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings.
• Assist residents with boarding and leaving the bus, securing wheelchairs and walkers, and loading and unloading luggage and packages.
• Monitor resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle, and at the entrance and exit of buildings.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Complete daily vehicle report logs and maintain accurate activity logs.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by local policy, federal and state regulations, and standard practice.
• Report all hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.

SUMMARY: As a Transportation Driver CNA, you will be responsible for providing safe and secure transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers, and private residences while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring the safety of residents at all times.
