Job summary

PureHealth in Denton, TX seeks a compassionate ALF Transportation Driver to move residents safely and on time to events, programs, and appointments. The role includes front desk duties between transports and upholds HIPAA policies.

You’ll perform pre/post trip vehicle checks, assist residents, manage calls, and help with light clerical tasks. The position requires a valid driver license and at least one year of courtesy driving experience.

Position Summary

ALF Transportation Driver will be responsible for transporting residents in a courteous and timely manner to and from events, programs, shopping and appointments. This role will have ALF front desk responsibilities in-between scheduled appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide safe and timely transportation of residents to various locations
  2. Coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance. Vehicle related responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing pre and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle; maintaining cleanliness of vehicle
  3. Responsible of noting and possibly resolving resident complaints. Reports more complex issues and complaints to ALF Administrator for resolution
  4. Responsible for greeting and directing residents, visitors and vendors to the appropriate location
  5. Maintain visitor security procedures- ensure guests and residents sign in/out, as required
  6. Manage incoming and outgoing calls. Provide callers with company related information such as address, directions, fax number, website and other related information
  7. Manage incoming and outgoing mail process- including sorting and distribution of resident and company mail
  8. May be required to assist with clerical duties such as faxing, filing, etc.
  9. Uses appropriate resources to ensure immediate work area, ALF lobby and public restrooms are clean, organized and presentable, at all times
  10. Provides shopping and errands for residents and Facility, as requested

Work Environment

This job operates in a post-acute setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Team member is expected to adhere to facility’s no-smoking policy.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. HIPAA

Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information. Team member are permitted to use and/or disclose only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks. Reports all suspected violation of company’s HIPAA policies or procedures to facility CEO.

RequiredEducation/Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required License

Valid State Driver’s License PreferredEducation/Experience

Valid state CDL (Commercial Driver License)

A minimum one (1) year experience in a courtesy driver, transportation or similar role
