Job summary

Arcadia Care in Chillicothe, IL is seeking a Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers, and residences.

You will provide courteous service, ensure resident safety, perform vehicle inspections and maintain required paperwork in a professional, timely manner.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois driver’s license and DOT required vehicle licensure and physical.
• Must be between 25 and 74 per facility insurance requirements.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.
• Ensure the safety of residents at all times; monitor safety on the bus and during boarding/departure.
• Perform general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, maintenance, and all required paperwork.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Driver will provide the transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Essential Duties:

• Provides a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.
• Is responsible for the safety of residents at all times. Monitors resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle as well as the entrance and exit of buildings.
• Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.
