Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a mid-level Transportation Drainage Engineer to support highway, bridge, and rail projects in Texas, with potential growth into task and leadership responsibilities.

You will contribute to planning, analysis, and design of transportation drainage systems, working with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff as you progress to greater project ownership. The role offers a hybrid work policy and strong career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Texas PE registration or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 5+ years of experience on mid- to large-scale transportation drainage projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate drainage design with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project engineers on drainage analysis and design for urban and rural transportation projects.
• Conduct drainage analysis and design per project and agency requirements.
• Assist in preparing contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates.
• Prepare drainage/hydraulic reports and technical memoranda.
• Provide hydraulic impact analysis for cross drainage structures and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
