Job summary

The State of West Virginia is seeking an experienced Transportation Division Office Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the Vehicle Services Division in Kanawha County. You will coordinate payroll, personnel actions, procurement, travel, and purchasing-card coordination, while guiding administrative staff and preparing performance reports.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and four years of administrative or supervisory experience; substitutions for education/experience are

Qualifications

Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative or supervisory experience in human resources, payroll, procurement, purchasing, and/or bookkeeping.
Substitution: graduate coursework may substitute for experience per established formula.

Responsibilities

Oversees daily operations of the Vehicle Services Division within the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles in Kanawha County.
Manages payroll, personnel transactions, procurement, travel, and purchasing card coordination.
Responds to employee inquiries and public inquiries or complaints, coordinates units, assigns work, and reviews output.
Compiles data and prepares reports on division performance and expenditures.
