Job summary

Flagler County Government is seeking a highly responsible administrative leader to oversee the Transportation Division, ensuring ADA compliance and Paratransit operations. You will work with the General Services Director, supervise staff, and translate policy into day-to-day practice.

Responsibilities include developing procedures, budgeting, coordinating routes, monitoring performance, and training drivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Three years progressively responsible transportation administration experience; at least 2 years in supervision.
• Experience in planning and supervising transportation systems preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Equivalent combination of related training, education and experience may be substituted year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for transportation services in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Supervises staff including prioritizing and assigning work, evaluating performance, enforcing policies, and assisting in hiring decisions.
• Troubleshoots issues with Paratransit and customer service.
• Prepares monthly reports on ridership, operating statistics, and regulatory reviews.
• Performs Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC) functions.
• Assists in annual operating budget development and grant preparation.
• Manages Paratransit customer service and investigates/addresses inquiries and complaints.
• Develops transportation routes and investigates accidents.
• Ensures compliance with FTA Drug and Alcohol Regulations and administers the Drug Abuse Prevention Program.
