Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Transportation Engineering Leader to act as Project Manager or Engineering Technical Lead, driving the Transportation Design and Construction Engineering presence in Nebraska. You will market and deliver projects, develop staff, and maintain industry connections at the state and local levels.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in roadway design from preliminary to final and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering and Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain one in Nebraska.
• Excellent communication, strong written, oral, and client relations skills.
• Experience presenting before elected officials and advisory boards, attending conferences, and participating in interviews.
• Strong organization and leadership skills including development of professional staff.
• Experience managing single and multi-discipline projects and professional teams, including contracting, cost control, staff and subconsultant coordination, and quality assurance/quality control.
• Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
• Experience working with state and/or local public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of projects having local, state, and regional benefits.
• Participate in Business Development including networking, proposal preparation, and contracts.
• Coordinate staff activities to assure achieving goals of project budget, schedule, and quality.
• Support various local, regional, and corporate initiatives.
