Job summary

Egis seeks a Transportation Design Lead – Pacific Northwest in our Seattle, WA office to drive performance, growth, and project delivery for regional transportation design. You will lead client relationships, manage budgets, and guide staff while advancing Egis’ regional strategy across DOTs, MPOs, cities, counties, and authorities.

The role emphasizes leadership, proposal development, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration to deliver complex civil infrastructure projects with excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Civil Engineering License in WA required.
• Minimum of 15 years of diversified experience in civil engineering, with specific expertise in transportation infrastructure.
• Led significant projects of scale with strong team and budget management.
• Experienced in planning, design and construction services for roads, highways and bridges.
• Strategic and growth-minded leadership.
• Proven track record of building and scaling a business and team for growth.
• Strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and transportation stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance and growth of the PNW transportation design team and manage client service, business development, and project delivery.
• Oversee design staff, resources, budgets, and provide technical/project oversight.
• Lead client meetings and interface with Egis’s clients.
• Develop and implement business plans to grow the region.
• Ensure quality assurance and control across construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Demonstrate leadership and collaboration across staff at all levels.
