Job summary

HNTB's Illinois Office seeks Intern Engineers in Roadway and Bridge Design to support our teams on major infrastructure projects in Chicago. This is an entry-level internship designed for students pursuing an engineering degree.

You will assist engineers with research, development and design, help prepare drawings and documents, and perform other duties as assigned. Relocation and housing are not provided; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program
• Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for drawings/documents

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
