Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an Intern Engineer to support multiple departments across bridges, geotechnical, and water resources. You will assist engineers with research, design, and the preparation of drawings and documents.

The role requires enrollment in an accredited engineering program and a high school diploma or GED. No relocation is provided, and locations include Des Moines, IA and Kansas City, MO among others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to organize information for drawings and documents.
• Ability to follow direction from peers and supervisors.
• Understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.

• Assist engineering teams with various tasks and duties.
