Job summary

HR Green is seeking a Staff Engineer II in St. Louis, MO to support planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation projects serving local communities.

You will work with experienced engineers across disciplines, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to diverse projects from DDIs to roundabouts and ADA sidewalk improvements. You will collaborate with Water Resources, Structural, Municipal Services, and Construction teams, receive mentorship, and take on increasing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• 3+ years of civil engineering experience with roadway experience preferred.
• Experience in OpenRoads Designer and 3D modeling for transportation projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of roadway, highway, and intersection improvement projects.
• Assist in preparing roadway plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Support storm sewer, culvert, and drainage infrastructure design for transportation projects.
• Conduct field investigations and support construction-phase activities.
• Communicate with project teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to deliver successful projects.
