Job summary

HR Green’s Transportation team seeks a Staff Engineer II to help plan, design, and deliver roadway and transportation projects for communities in St. Louis and Missouri. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, gain hands‑on experience, and contribute to the full project lifecycle.

You will work under mentoring engineers, with opportunities for growth, and play a key role in designing safety‑driven improvements such as DDIs, roundabouts, and ADA sidewalk projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• EIT or PE certification required.
• 3+ years of civil engineering experience with roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of roadway, highway, and intersection improvements.
• Prepare roadway plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Support storm sewer, culvert, and drainage design for transportation projects.
• Conduct field investigations and support construction‑phase activities.
• Communicate with project teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver projects.
