Job summary

HDR is seeking a Saint Louis Roadway Intern in Missouri. You will gain real-world experience, assist with urban and rural roadway designs, and work under a senior engineer to learn planning techniques and transportation projects.

Preferred candidates are engineering students with at least 2 years toward degree and a 3.0+ GPA, with knowledge of relevant software and strong communication skills. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by applying standard Engineering techniques and procedures through the creation and submission of technical reports, plans, specifications and calculations.
• Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist the team with detailed designs of urban and rural roadway projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs.
• Apply standard planning techniques and procedures.
• Assist with transportation planning efforts in all modes.
• Perform other duties as needed.
