Job summary

The West Virginia Division of Highways is seeking a detail-oriented Transportation System Analyst to join District Four’s Performance Management Unit. The role focuses on tracking and analyzing district-wide expenditures, and preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports while performing data quality reviews.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree and have experience in transportation/ planning analyses, with travel and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the research, analysis, planning, bidding, or administration of highway construction and maintenance projects or managing transit grant programs.
• Substitution: Graduate coursework may substitute for the required experience.
• Travel may be required; therefore, a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze District-wide project expenditures.
• Prepare and verify accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Perform data quality reviews and collaborate with county organizations to resolve data discrepancies.
• Cross-train across key functions within the Performance Management Unit and Accounting Department.
• Provide versatile operational support and complete related duties as assigned.
