Job summary

AECOM in New York is seeking a Transportation Data Analysis and Visualization Specialist to advance data analytics for capital programs in the NY Metropolitan Region.

You will lead data collection, ETL workflows, and dashboards using Power BI and Tableau, interfacing with clients and regulators to support project delivery.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in data analytics, ETL, and transportation planning, with experience in NY Metro agencies and Legacy systems. Hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in civil engineering, environmental science, economics, statistics, data science, urban planning, natural resources, or earth science-related field plus 8 years of experience.
• Experience with ETL and programming languages for data analysis (SQL/Python/R).
• Experience with New York Metro agencies including Metro North, MTA, PANYNJ, NJT.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to collect, organize, analyze, and visualize transportation data for New York Metro projects.
• Develop ETL frameworks and code data analysis for large-scale sources.
• Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools.
• Interface with clients and regulators on complex projects and BD initiatives.
• Manage financial modeling, capital programming, and performance tracking to meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate field data collection and client visits as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and support project managers and planning teams.
