Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Data Analysis and Visualization Specialist to support the NYC transportation planning practice. You will lead data collection, ETL development, and dashboard creation to inform capital program budgeting and scheduling for federal/state/city clients in the NY Metropolitan Region.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate field data collection, and maintain legacy systems while delivering high-quality reports and proposals.

Qualifications

BA/BS in civil engineering or related field plus 8 years of experience.
Experience with SQL/Python/R for data analysis.
Experience with New York Metro agencies including Metro North, MTA, PANYNJ, NJT.

Responsibilities

Lead efforts to collect, organize, analyze, and visualize transportation data to support agency decision-making for infrastructure projects in the New York Metro area.
Develop frameworks and execute coding of data analysis for large-scale data sources, including ETL processes and data platform integration.
Create intuitive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization platforms.
Serve as primary interface with clients and regulatory personnel on complex projects and business development initiatives.
Manage financial modeling, cost controls, capital programming, and performance tracking to support regulatory agency requirements and project delivery.
