Job summary

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology (OST) and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) invite applications for two one-year research appointments with potential extensions. Responsibilities

• Analyze travel demand models from state DOTs and MPOs to develop a white paper on current practices/methods at a national level.
• Compile information on AI/ML applications in transportation modeling and assess new technologies and methods.
• Collect and assess data on passenger travel with a focus on long-distance travel and tourism to support a future long-distance travel program.
