Job summary

Vitality Living Hendersonville is hiring a Transportation Coordinator to operate community transportation, ensuring safe, on-time trips for residents and guests. You will drive to social and other destinations, secure wheelchairs, document any vehicle issues, and maintain clean, fueled vehicles.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, a clean driving record, and CPR/First Aid certification. CDL may be required for larger vehicles; generous benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with clean record; CDL may be required for 15+ passenger vehicles.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of motor vehicle safety precautions and laws.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle from community to social and other destinations as scheduled.
• Follows safe driving techniques and state guidelines for vehicle operation.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraints to stabilize during trips.
• Documents vehicle damages, accidents, and wear-and-tear.
• Cleans interior/exterior and ensures adequate fuel after outings; performs other duties as assigned.

Transportation Coordinator:

• Drives vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to assigned schedule
• Practices safe driving techniques, adheres to posted speed limits, and follows state guidelines for motor vehicle operation at all times
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip
• Documents all damages to company vehicles, including accidents, dents, natural wear and tear, etc.
• Cleans interior and exterior of vehicle after each outing and ensures adequate fuel levels
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Commercial driver's license (CDL) designation may be required if driving vehicles with a capacity of more than 15 passengers
