Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) in Parker, CO to deliver a resident-focused transportation program. The role covers driving, scheduling, resident communication, and operational support on a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include transporting residents, managing requests in the transportation system, and assisting with outings while ensuring safety and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of licensed driving experience.
• Valid state Driver’s License and clean MVR.
• Experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

• Provide transportation services during scheduled hours (including designated medical days).
• Safely operate vehicles to transport residents for medical, recreational, and personal needs.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in the digital system.
• Maintain vehicle readiness with inspections, fueling, and cleanliness.
• Support programming/outings with planning, logistics, and safety compliance.
• Provide non-driving community support during off-peak times.

Job Description

The Transportation Coordinator (Driver) plays a critical role in delivering a structured, reliable, and resident-focused transportation program within the community. This role extends beyond driving to include transportation coordination, scheduling, resident communication, and operational support.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including, but not limited to, coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
• Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to
• Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
• Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
• During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.

To be successful in this position, we believe that you will need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Must have a valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
• Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.
