About the role
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing transportation logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services. This role involves coordinating routes, managing vendor relationships, tracking vehicle usage, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The coordinator will serve as a liaison between internal departments, transportation providers, and external partners.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate daily transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching.
- Assist with procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract administration, and service evaluations.
- Support budget monitoring and cost-control efforts related to transportation services.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, costs, and performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain transportation procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and safety standards.
- Monitor transportation performance to ensure timeliness, safety, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including billing and invoicing.
- Resolve transportation-related issues and respond to client or member feedback.
- Oversee vehicle schedules and ensure readiness of fleet.
- Serve as liaison between carriers, drivers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address service needs and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Prepare reports on transportation performance metrics and cost analysis.
- Support special projects and assist other departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Employment Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in transportation coordination, logistics, or customer service.
- Experience with scheduling software (e.g.TripMaster), Microsoft Office Suite, and transportation databases.
- Bilingual Spanish/English (Tier I) Certificate required.
Pay Rate: 25.00/hr
