Dispatchers are responsible for communicating route information to their drivers and ensuring they have the resources necessary to succeed at their tours of duty. Their main duties include logging each call, providing answers to questions by retrieving information from the necessary departments, and supervising the field units' routes to prioritize and organize their schedules.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise and advise 30-60 drivers and monitors.
2. Develop and implement efficient routes across several regions, considering individual client needs.
3. Assign driver tasks based on employee skills and performance.
4. Accurately receive, record, retrieve, and deliver messages; solve operational problems; maintain professional relations with guardians, clients, staff, and employees.
5. Ensure compliance with company policies through dispatch and observation; develop driver skills through guidance and example.
6. Promote good performance; address non-compliance with appropriate discipline or reassignments.
7. Gain familiarity with routes, clients, drivers, and facilities; supervise drivers and provide emergency backup.
8. Build positive relationships with staff; understand and address their challenges.
9. Maintain professional rapport with customers, including programs, guardians, clients, and contracted organizations.
10. Keep detailed records for accurate monthly billing.

Qualifications

1. Supervisor experience.
2. Understanding of routing and familiarity with the area is preferred.
3. Self-motivated with initiative and a strong work ethic.
4. Excellent customer service skills; detail-oriented; problem solver.
5. Ability to learn programs, clients, and employees for appropriate task assignment.
6. Enjoy working with children.
7. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Chrome, Android tablets, etc.
8. Maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license; respond to coverage needs.
9. Comfortable working in a small, busy office environment.
10. Flexible and adaptable to changing assignments.
11. Dispatching or customer service experience is a plus.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5am-1:90pm

Full-time

Pay rate: $24/hr
