Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager in Winston-Salem, NC to lead roadway, highway, and bridge projects as part of the Transportation team.

You will mentor staff, engage clients, and expand STV's CEI practice in North Carolina while delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project teams and field staff to ensure safe, on-time delivery, uphold safety standards, and grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of highway construction administration and inspection experience.
• North Carolina Professional Engineer license or CCM credential preferred.
• Familiarity with NCDOT, North Carolina municipalities, or public-sector transportation clients.

Responsibilities

• Support growth of STV's CEI practice through client engagement, business development, and pursuit support.
• Help recruit, mentor, and develop construction managers, engineers, inspectors, and field staff.
• Serve as Project Manager on select transportation projects, as needed.
• Provide quality oversight for CEI project activities, deliverables, documentation, and field operations.
• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with clients, agency partners, and project stakeholders.
• Support proposals, qualifications packages, and technical pursuit materials.
• Review and interpret construction plans, contract documents, and technical specifications.
• Communicate clearly with clients, project teams, and field staff to keep work moving safely and efficiently
