Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Transportation team in Winston-Salem, NC. You will lead construction management activities for roadway, highway, and bridge projects, mentoring field staff and coordinating with clients and project teams.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, safety, and clear communication to deliver high-quality transportation projects and to grow STV's presence in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of highway construction administration and inspection experience.
• NC Professional Engineer license or CCM certification preferred.
• Familiarity with NCDOT, North Carolina municipalities, or public-sector transportation clients.

Responsibilities

• Support growth of STV's CEI practice through client engagement, business development, and pursuit support.
• Help recruit, mentor, and develop construction managers, engineers, inspectors, and field staff.
• Serve as Project Manager on select transportation projects as needed.
• Provide quality oversight for CEI project activities, deliverables, documentation, and field operations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Support proposals, qualifications packages, and technical pursuit materials.
• Review and interpret construction plans, contract documents, and specifications.
• Communicate clearly with clients, project teams, and field staff to keep work moving safely and efficiently.
