Job summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Student Intern for our Transportation Construction Services Department in Chicago, IL. You will work with senior engineers and inspectors across a range of construction management projects.

Responsibilities include assisting with oversight, learning quality metrics and inspection duties, and preparing field calculations and daily reports. A BS in progress and EIT eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a BS program with the ability to obtain Engineering-In-Training status; Construction Management emphasis preferred.
• Sophomore standing required in college.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid driving record and ability to work in a team.
• Eagerness to learn and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work extended hours as needed (≈40+ hrs/week).

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of infrastructure construction projects.
• Learn quality metrics, testing requirements, and construction inspection duties.
• Make field work calculations and daily reports for team review.
• Coordinate work activities with other staff on projects.
