This role oversees inspection activities that support safe, accurate, and efficient transportation construction work. It guides field staff, ensures quality standards, and helps resolve issues in real time. As a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Inspection Oversight: Supervise project inspections to ensure work meets codes, plans, and specifications
- Team Direction: Guide and train staff, assign tasks, and review completed work for accuracy
- Field Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and staff to resolve problems and plan operations
- Technical Review: Make calculations, review sketches, and support solutions to field challenges
- Documentation Management: Prepare required reports and maintain project records with accuracy
- Staff Development: Plan training, evaluate performance, and support employee growth and discipline decisions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position will cover projects in Lackawanna County.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or
- Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position is required to meet the qualifications for a bridge inspection team leader as defined by the current National Bridge Inspection Standards.
- This position requires possession of a valid non- commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License or equivalent.
