We are currently seeking a highly motivated Transportation Construction Inspector located in PA/MD.

Overview:

CMTS LLC is seeking an experienced individual to serve as a Transportation Construction Inspector for our growing transportation pursuits in Southcentral Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. The selected candidate will provide inspection services for the construction of projects including bridges, highways, and roads. Responsibilities include ensuring quality assurance and quality control to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and client expectations.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

• NICET certified as a Transportation Engineering Technician Construction Level II or higher.
• PennDOT Concrete Certification
• NECEPT Bituminous Certification

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bridge/highway/roadway inspection.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
• Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Understanding all facets of the construction process.
• Familiarity with construction management software packages.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Good vision at 2 feet and ability to discern different colors.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for construction representatives.
• Coordinate and oversee sampling and testing of materials according to specifications.
• Provide daily oversight of contractor quality control activities and maintain logs.
• Verify materials and work quality through inspections.
• Coordinate material sampling and testing activities such as concrete slump, air testing, and soil compaction.
• Communicate any unacceptable materials or work to contractors.
• Offer technical guidance on construction matters to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project records, including as-built drawings.
• Verify quantities for contractor payments.
• Interpret construction plans, standards, and specifications.
• Perform other duties as necessary to ensure project quality.

Salary:

• $30.36-$31.67/hr.

Bonus Pay:

Bonuses may be awarded based on individual performance, utilization, attendance, tenure, and other non-financial goals, at management's discretion.
