In this position, you will utilize your exceptional attention to detail as you review and verify electronic material certifications while collaborating with the Inspector to resolve any discrepancies that may occur. It is crucial to ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Test Method (PTM) standards, as well as those established by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM). Your duties will include monitoring shipments to verify that material quality meets specifications and that weigh slips accurately represent the quantities shipped. Furthermore, you will observe testing procedures at Portland cement plants, asphalt plants, and aggregate quarries to maintain quality control throughout production. Accurate documentation of sampling and testing methods is essential, along with promptly identifying and reporting any potential issues to your supervisor.
