Job summary

Hill International is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector in Wilkes-Barre, PA to join our team overseeing roadway projects. The role requires hands-on daily inspection of construction works to verify compliance with plans and PennDOT standards, and reporting issues with practical solutions.

You will document findings and work closely with project management and field staff to maintain quality and safety on site, contributing to successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector 1 (TCI-1) or higher.
• Possession of at least one certification: PennDOT Concrete Technician, NECEPT Field Technician, or NICET Level II in Highway Construction.
• NICET Highway Construction certifications only unless Central Office approval for other NICET subfields.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Be proactive and alert project management to issues that may arise in the field.
• Provide solutions to mitigate those problems.
• Observe field workmanship and materials to ensure they meet standards.
• Document the daily inspection report and various other reports.
