Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to perform field observation and inspection on Transportation projects throughout Indiana.

You will report to the Project Supervisor or Resident Project Representative and interact with clients, contractors, and the public in meetings and other communications. Responsibilities include documenting construction progress through daily and status reports, conducting field and lab tests, measuring quantities, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transportation construction and QC practices.
• Familiar with IN DOT, INDOT specs and inspection requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical documents.
• Inspect contractor work and document progress and quality of work.
• Ability to measure quantities and perform material testing.
• INDOT certified technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and inspection on Transportation projects in Indiana.
• Document construction progress through daily and status reports.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and the public.
• Lead field activities and coordinate with project team as needed.
