Job summary

Sundt Construction invites committed engineering and construction management students from accredited programs to join our internship across active projects in the United States. You will gain hands-on experience while collaborating with seasoned professionals on challenging assignments.

You will assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, safety inspections, surveying, and cost control activities, while developing practical skills for a successful career in construction.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions and get hands dirty.
• Interest in a construction career for a builder.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost control records.
• Assist with report preparation, safety inspections, submittal logging and processing.
• Assist with surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction and filing.
• Assist with time keeping and cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, subcontractor monitoring.
• Attend bid openings and meetings, take notes and complete forms.
• Observe and report on site meetings and tours for visitors.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, contact vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Work as a manual laborer, helper, clerk or technician assistant.
