Job summary

Sundt is seeking committed engineering and construction management students for internship opportunities across the United States. The program offers exposure to challenging projects and hands-on experience through shop drawings, cost control, surveying, and site tours.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program, eager to learn, and ready to contribute as a team player using MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Team player willing to take on challenges.
• Eager to learn, curious, asks questions and gets hands dirty.
• Prefer candidates with an interest in a construction career for a builder.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project record keeping, preparing shop drawings and cost control records.
• Assist with report preparation, safety inspections, submittal logging and processing.
• Assist with surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction and filing.
• Assist with time keeping and cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, subcontractor monitoring.
• Attend bid openings and meetings; take notes and complete forms.
• Observe and report meeting outcomes and conduct site tours for visitors.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, contact vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Support as a manual laborer, helper, clerk or technician assistant as needed.
