Job summary

Kapur & Associates is seeking a Construction Engineer in Appleton, WI to work on WisDOT and local agency roadway and bridge projects. This role offers growth as the transportation engineering practice expands in Wisconsin.

The candidate should have field inspection experience with government agencies, strong communication, and the ability to work in a team or independently. Relocation support and local project opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Minimum of two summers of field construction inspection experience with WisDOT, Illinois Tollway, IDOT, or another government agency.
• Strong knowledge of roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead and communicate with project teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with CAD or plan preparation for civil infrastructure projects is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Take a leadership role in managing construction projects for WisDOT or other local agencies.
• Establish strong relationships with WisDOT and/or local municipalities.
• Conduct construction oversight and inspection.
• Perform materials testing and maintain documentation.
• Conduct field measurements to monitor progress and quality.
• Complete construction closeout documentation.
