Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations Clerk in the Transportation department to handle clerical duties and ensure regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation. The role supports driver paperwork, logs, vehicle inspections, and related tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring driver logs, coordinating with transportation supervisors, and maintaining driver qualification files to meet DOT standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver License and 2 years distribution/transportation experience in a high-volume operation.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
• Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
• Research short on truck that driver's call in.
• Respond to delivery associate issues and provide support for the resolution.
• Create Driver Qualification files as needed and maintain all required documents under DOT guidelines.
