Job summary

Mid Valley Family Foods is seeking a Transportation Clerk in California to support inbound/outbound logistics, paperwork processing, and coordination with the Vault team. The role requires attention to safety, accurate data entry, and strong communication with production and logistics staff.

The position emphasizes adherence to GMPs, efficient inventory control, and reliable handling of orders and schedules. Weekend/holiday readiness and teamwork are preferred traits for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurements.
• Able to sit, stand, lift, and climb ladders.
• Familiarity with GMPs and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound trucks.
• Process and post paperwork in SAP, Dax and Excel.
• Provide paperwork to Vault for loading and sign-offs.
• Verify daily orders and maintain records.
• Receive finished goods and manage restocking of locations.
• Communicate daily with CCNA on customer orders and schedules.
• Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and engaging in the Mid Valley Family Foods Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, allocate resources, and sustain improvement opportunities.
• Schedule inbound and outbound trucks
• Provide paperwork (Pick Ticket) to the Vault team for loading
• Process and post paperwork in SAP & Dax and Excel
• Attain all appropriate signatures needed to complete paperwork
• Check in and out drivers as needed
• Manage aging finished goods for liquidation and donation orders
• Verify daily reports that orders are completed
• Receiving finished goods inbound from other facilities
• Manage restocking of pick locations
• Manage and create all paperwork for modular pallets
• Manage past due open inbounds and outbounds
• Correspond daily with CCNA on updates regarding customer orders and schedules
• Coordinate and confirm customer appointments and schedules
• Perform other duties as assigned, cross training.

• Ability to clearly and professionally communicate with production staff, supervisors, and other departments.
