Job summary

Vistar, a leading distributor, is hiring for a full-time warehouse position on a Sunday-Thursday schedule with a 4:00 PM start. The role includes lifting up to 80 lbs, operating forklifts, and handling multi-temperature environments.

Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $29.00 per hour plus incentive pay, with Day 1 benefits and growth opportunities. Responsibilities include shipping/receiving, inventory maintenance, and adhering to safety standards to keep production flowing efficiently.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Required Experience: 6 Months - 1 Year.
• 6 - 12 months of warehouse and/or distribution environment.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to work in a multi-temperature environment (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work area.
• Review daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Operate forklift/palle t jack as required and perform duties such as put-away, order selection, loading and receiving.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Perform basic housekeeping and ensure the loading dock and trailers are clean.
• Ensure all equipment is charged and reports are completed at shift end.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

Sunday-Thursday start: 4:00 PM

Shifts end when daily work is completed; end times may vary based on volume.

Earn $25.00-$29.00/hr (includes $4 shift differential + $4 freezer/cooler differential) plus incentive pay

Position Summary:

Performs shipping and/or receiving functions in a timely manner. Maintain inventory and warehouse work areas, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Review work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear. Perform daily safety check of the assigned forklift / pallet jack in accordance with company policy.
• Perform general warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to forklift put-away, let-downs, will call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, receiving and related duties.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Perform damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required.
• Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Foodservice distribution or related industry experience

6+ months experience operating forklift and/or pallet jack

Preferred Professional Certification(s): OSHA Forklift operator certificate
