Graphic Packaging International, LLC is hiring a Transportation Clerk in Shelbyville, IL. The role involves clerical duties in shipping/receiving, data entry, inventory verification, and coordinating truck pickups and deliveries. Proficiency with QAD and RF equipment is preferred.

Starting pay is $21.47 per hour with progression to $22.05 at 6 months and a $1.15/hour night shift differential. Benefits begin the month after start date, with additional retention bonus for new hires and qualifying

Transportation Clerk

$1,500 Retention Bonus for New Hires and Qualifying Rehires

Starting At $21.47, progressing to $22.05 at 6 months

Perform the clerical duties required in shipping and receiving. Duties also include compiling records of the activities concerning production, shipping, and receiving.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

• Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner.
• Be actively engaged, involved, and participate in safety meetings and safety tours.
• Ensure production and distribution of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation and quality standards.
• Enter data and generate reports via computer; Enter conveyor schedule.
• Verify inventory transactions and adjustments (Familiarity with RF Equipment).
• Schedule truck line pick-up and delivery appointments.
• Communicate appointment times to carriers
• Update QAD with appointment
• Coordinate incoming trucks to correct dock or yard.
• Receive inbound product against purchase orders.
• Generate bill of lading for outgoing shipments.
• Maintain dock board with locations of all trailers at facility.
• Make date labels; File Transportation documents.
• Demonstrate proficiency with QAD.
• Perform cycle counts on all finished good materials, WIP, KDs and pallets in the Warehouse.
• Perform Month-end packaging inventory.
• Analyze transaction reports to determine the root cause of discrepancies.
• Assist drivers with issues regarding issue and receipt entry, transfer, and cycle counting.
• Audit all locations for negative quantities.
• Responsible for item types, class codes, and correct descriptions for items in QAD
• Conduct product recalls using QAD transactions
• Maintain accuracy on promotional items.
• Develop proficiency of basic other clerk role duties, providing support in those roles when necessary.
• Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Fulfill overtime requirements as necessary to ensure Transportation requirements are met.
• Other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong computer skills with experience with various programs, such as email, and MS Office applications.
• Organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Successful completion of the interview.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without accommodation. This includes: Walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time; Visual acuity and depth perception necessary to read computer screen or other electronic devices; Working in various temperatures & humidity levels.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:

• Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
• Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
• Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
• Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
• Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
