Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Perry, GA is seeking a Warehouse/Shipping-Receiving associate to unload roll stock, perform goods receipts, and deliver materials to presses and cutting equipment.

Candidates must be proficient in English, able to work independently or in a team, and capable of operating a clamp truck; forklift certification is required or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Unload roll stock, stage safely in roll stock area.
• Perform goods receipts on roll stock or transfer print WIP.
• Load print WIP for outbound freight.
• Receive inbound MRO/operating supplies and equipment.
• Inspect interior and exterior of inbound roll trailers; document results.
• Deliver roll stock to printing presses and print WIP to cutting equipment.
• Deliver received items to designated plant areas.
• Lapping and grinding of rolls as needed; timely.
• Complete daily forklift inspections; document results.
• Operate clamp truck safely; follow safety policies.
• Use SAP to generate shipping/receiving docs and create STOs.
• Ensure accurate internal inventory within the plant.

JOB FUNCTION

Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Unload roll stock trucks and safely stage in roll stock area.
• Perform goods receipts on roll stock or transfer print WIP.
• Load print WIP for outbound freight.
• Receive inbound MRO/operating supplies and equipment.
• Perform inspections on the interior and exterior of inbound roll trailers and document inspection results.
• Deliver roll stock to printing presses and print WIP to cutting equipment in-line, safely, and in a timely manner.
• Deliver received items to designated areas throughout the plant.
• Lapping down and grinding out rolls as needed in a timely manner.
• Complete daily forklift inspection and document inspection results.

Job Function continued

• Operate a clamp truck in a safe, efficient manner. Follow all Safety policies.
• SAP knowledge to generate and complete Shipping/Receiving documentation, create STO's for interplant shipments, provide weekly material inventories.
• Ensure accurate internal inventory within the plant.
• Any Forklift Certified Operators can apply.

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of GPI Forklift Certification if not already certified. Must continue to operate clamp truck in a safe manner.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities

• Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
• Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance with SQF related procedures.
• Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
• Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
• Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Candidates must be proficient in English, with the ability to communicate, read, and understand work-related instructions and safety procedures and requirements.
